The Laboratorium

The preceding (or following, depending on your point of view) piece was written over the course of about two hours, in one sitting, with no attempts at revision. I don't think I ever even backtracked to look at a paragraph earlier than the one I was working on.

I also meant for it to be about three paragraphs long and take about twenty minutes. I was behind on my schedule of assigned reading for the night when I started; I have now updated my status indicator from "hosed" to "soooo hosed."
